Brett is sick. Ozi has passed Save our home Update

Sometimes life brings challenges that make you swallow pride and ask for help. My dear husband, Brett Parker, became ill with a fast growing mass about a month ago. He does not have insurance so we had trips to the ER and a very hard time getting him treatment and a diagnosis. With help from friends, we were able to get him to a specialist. On the first visit, he was immediately hospitalized, surgery was performed, and a diagnosis of cancer was given to us.  I had a well paying job for 12 years, but my position was eliminated and it took me 13 months to find a new job. I love my job, but I make less and have gotten behind in some payments, including my HOA payments. My HOA served me with intention to foreclose on our home in the middle of dealing with Brett's severe health situation. Also, Brett contributed greatly to our income with online sales, which he has been unable to do in his condition.

In addition to Brett's illness, our beloved chihuahua, Ozilline, has been diagnosed with a heart condition and requires daily medication to keep her alive. Thankfully, it's inexpensive, but she needs her home, just like her "Daddy", Brett.  UPDATE - Our beloved Ozilline passed away in the early morning of August 12, 2019. Thanks to the support of wonderful friends and family, she lived out her final days in what was her life-long home.  As painful as it is to lose my dear, sweet "Ozi", I am so grateful that she was part of my family for 10 years. She brought us immeasurable joy - we called her "pure love" because she was the sweetest and the most unconditional loving being we have ever known.

I humbly ask if you could please help us. We are good people who have hit a very unfortunate bad patch. Funds raised would be used to pay our HOA arrears of approx $3000 with legal fees, catch up on our mortgage, car payment, utilities, and to help with medical expenses.

Thank you so much for taking time to read this, and if you can't give, please pray or send healing energy or whatever you do. We love you all!

UPDATE: We have also been presented with Brett's official diagnosis - plasmablastic lymphoma. It's a rather scary diagnosis.  The most common words you'll find attached to this diagnosis are "rare", "aggressive", "chemo resistant", and "high rate of recurrence" - We are educating ourselves, loving each other, and trying to keep a positive outlook.

Thanks to the generosity of friends and family, we have been able to make arrangements with our Homeowner's Association to stop a foreclosure! God Bless You All.  However, we are are still behind and getting completely caught up will require additional monthly payments. PLUS - they decided we need to re-roof and we have to pay an additional $600 special assessment for that. We are also still needing to catch up on mortgage, car payments, and utilities.

We are so grateful for the help we have received. Please continue your prayers and positive energy. If you could please share this with friends and family, we really could use all the help we can get. We love you all!
