Hello! My name is Max Sanchez and I am currently a sophomore at Summit Tahoma located in San Jose, California. I am a young artist in need of financial assistance.
I have recently applied to CCA's summer art program (California College of the Arts) hoping to expand my knowledge of the arts. Just a week ago I recieved a letter from CCA informing me that I have been accepted for the Summer Painting/Drawing program. When I read the news I was absolutely astonished and had the happiest feeling in the world.
Art means so much to me, it is literally my pride and joy. I started drawing since I was three years old, twelve years go by and now I currently work with the oil and acrylic paints. My paintings have been in a couple of exhibitions including the Plein Air Festival and the Santa Clara County Office.
Going to CCA for the summer would mean so much to me that words cannot explain how I feel.
There is only one problem that I have and that is money. I did not qualify for the merit scholarship so I must pay full price for tuition, housing, and a meal plan.
Tuition itself is 2,950.00$, Housing is 950.00$, and the meal plan they have to offer is 300.00$. Payment is due by May 4th, so it is coming up very soon. If I do not raise enough money by May 4th, I will not be able to go to CCA for the summer of 2015. My family and I are not the richest, so any donations from friends and family would mean so much to us. I cannot stress this enough, art means so much to me and if I raise enough money for the CCA art program it would mean the whole world to me. My goal is to raise 3000.00$ so tution can be taken care of. Payment is coming very soon, so any donations help even if it is just a dollar!
