Frenchie Burke Benefit
Donation protected
"The Cajun Gentleman Fiddler," Frenchie Burke was born Leon Bourke in Kaplan, LA. While a youngster he received his first musical lesson from his grandfather and developed his own flamboyant showmanship over 7 decades. Shortly after his family moved to Texas, he joined the U.S. Air Force.
The fiery Cajun fiddler has helped raise thousands of dollars playing for numerous benefits. Now its our turn to help him. Frenchie has suffered from several heart attacks, cancer, hip replacement and most recently a stroke.
The Lytle resident is known for such songs as "Big Mamou" and many other Cajun hits.
"Believe me, he needs the relief from the pain as well as from the bills that are piling up. Frenchie has played for more benefits than anybody I can think of, so now its time to repay the favor," said the Drugstore Cowboys, Dub Robinson, a longtime friend.
Thank you all in advance for anything you can do but most appreciated for keeping Frenchie in your prayers.
