Oxygen Concentrators And Covid Help for KGby KCC

Dear Friends,
Over the last few weeks, COVID-19 cases and death rates in Kyrgyzstan have been rapidly increasing and the crisis keeps escalating. Kyrgyzstan is a country of 5.5 million in Central Asia. Before the global pandemic, no country in the world was as dependent on remittances from labor migrants as Kyrgyzstan. As a result of the Global Economic recession and without payments from abroad and the stay at-home-order in the country, the number of people living below the poverty line is reaching staggering numbers. Many people can not afford to stay at home as they need food on the table, contributing even further to the exponential spread of the virus.
According to WHO data, around 15 percent of COVID -19 infected patients develop severe pneumonia and require oxygen therapy. Unfortunately, it turns out there are around 650 oxygen concentrators for the entire population in Kyrgyzstan. So, currently, hospital beds throughout the country are already full and people are dying while waiting for treatment with no access to essential oxygen concentrators. Unlike wealthy countries, countries such as Kyrgyzstan will be dealing with a shortage of essential respiratory devices for a much longer time and with a much larger backlog. The scale of the crisis is unprecedented, and we are here to ask for your help to buy essential oxygen concentrators to enable people to get help at an early stage without the need for ICU admission and mechanical ventilation where the death rate is much higher.

We will be sending the donation to the local Charity organization, "Elim Barsyngby?", which is a transparent and recognized initiative with significant volunteer support in Kyrgyzstan.

Ежедневно десятки людей погибают из-за слабости медицины и отсутствия дыхательного оборудования (Кислородные Концентраторы). Наши люди и наша Родина очень нуждаются в нас сегодня. Когда мы поможем если не сейчас в такое трудное время? Надеемся, что все вы не останетесь равнодушными к Родине и народу!
Собранные средства будут распределены через «Общественный благотворительный фонд «Элим - Барсынбы?»» медицинским учреждениям, нуждающимся в кислородных концентраторах.
