A Breath for Life

A Breath for Life was established in 1998 to support children with profound neurological problems. Our centre is no larger than a double garage and our single toilet facility is an outside porta cabin which is far from ideal. We have proved our worth many times over and police our limited funds with vigilance. We receive no Government funding and have limited support from private charitable trusts. We rely heavily upon local efforts to maintain our valuable service.
This is a heartfelt appeal to the wider community to raise funds for a much needed extension to our unit. If everyone we know and you know can donate a minimum of £5 we will soon reach our goal.
We have a unique facility which is the only centre in the UK and Europe willing to treat children with oxygen therapy. To quote a recent patient, 'Lancaster & Morecambe should be proud to have such a facility on their doorstep, I have to travel over 100 miles to get here'. Many travel for much longer distances.
Please give what you can and spread the word to all your family and friends. Visit our Unit to see for yourself what we hope to achieve. We cannot achieve our goal without YOU. Thank you.
