Vaccinations and Medical equipment for India

Donazione protetta
Only 4% of the population in India is vaccinated. The unorganized workforce is harder to reach and therefore are getting overlooked.
They are typically poorer and will work and interact through illness to make ends meet.

Our funds beyond $550K will help pay for vaccinations for the Unorganized sector in India - the daily wage workers, the truck drivers. The face huge logistical challenges to get vaccinated, needing a phone with the CoWin App, Internet Access, Needing an official Aadhar card being some of them.

Our partner hospitals can secure 10K vaccinations.

All donation are directly managed by SaveLIFE Foundation  a 501(c)(3)  charity (EIN 36-4775715). All equipment that is donated via SaveLIFE is being tagged and monitored by an independent team from the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). If we are unable to secure enough funds for 10K vaccinations, the funds will be used for other Covid relief.

What’s happening?

As of this writing, 3 people are dying in India every minute, and this number is likely underreported.

Over 15 million people in India are infected right now. Even children who are suffering with severe symptoms and dying along with the adults.

More than 3000 families bid goodbye to a loved one, just in one day. More than 200,000 people have already died. A quick look around and you’ll see grieving families everywhere wearing hazmat clothing as they perform last rites amidst funeral and cremation fires.

Hospitals have run out of basic medical supplies, with many patients dying from oxygen shortages.

What’s the money going to buy?

OxyFlow 5L  is one type of Oxygen Concentrators that will be purchased. 10L Oxygen Concentrators, Oxygen generator plant and breathing apparatus are also high priority requirements that may be purchased.

Here's the actual PO for 224 units that have been ordered using funds generated here.

SaveLIFE Foundation  is working with the Delhi government to buy and distribute the units to hospitals where they’re desperately needed. Additional funds generated will be used for procuring additional medical supplies at the behest of the Delhi government.

Why are so many units needed?

Each concentrator is used by a needy patient for 7-14 days. Given the sheer number of cases, the requirements are in excess of 50,000 concentrators across India.

Why should I donate?

India has been a good global citizen, sharing vaccines and other medications to the rest of the world during the first wave. Now that the situation in the USA has begun to right itself, let’s return the favor and keep houses as full as possible at holidays and festivities. May they not have to cremate one more father, mother, sister, brother, or friend.

All donations are directly managed by SaveLIFE Foundation (EIN 36-4775715). As the products are purchased and delivered to their destination, we will keep you up to date on this GoFundMe page.
