My name is Kelley and, in the photo above, you will see myself and my incredible partner, Jesus. I am creating this GoFundMe at 2:30 AM, sleeplessly looking for ways to save Jesus’ family and bring him back home safely.

While Jesus lives with me in New York, his family remains in Peru, his home country. The news has not covered much on Peru, so I will briefly explain their situation-

Lima’s Covid level is considered extreme.Curfew is at 6 PM Monday-Saturday and,if you are caught outside on Sunday, you can be arrested and ticketed. These restrictions are extreme due to their second wave, which is current. Hospitals have collapsed and people are relying on at home care, oftentimes passing due to lack of funds, oxygen, and general care.

Jesus learned that his mother and two uncle’s became very ill with Covid and, despite the obvious dangers before him, flew to Lima 2 nights ago (I think we can all understand the need to be with our mothers when they are not well). The day he flew out, his mother had a 104 fever and low oxygen levels. He got to her as soon as he could.

I ask for help for this reason - to survive Covid in Lima, you have to be rich or lucky.

-1 tank of oxygen = $600
(1 tank lasts about 2 days)
Daily nurse visits + medication = $200 daily

For his mother alone, this will cost $3,200 for one week. This does not include his uncles and also assumes that she will recover within a week, so this why I am asking for $5,000. I will say that $10 goes a long way, so please do not feel like any amount is too small. (Also accepting prayers!)

This fundraiser is 100% led by myself, Kelley, and Jesus has no knowledge of it. I plan to give him the list of your names/your messages once I send him the funds. This is an impossible situation and Jesus is dealing with so much, so please allow him the space he needs during this time.  I would be happy to pass along well wishes when the time is right. ♥️
