Help Lee Oxendine Battle Brain Cancer!

A few words from Lee’s family:

We have created this go fund me page to raise money for our brother, son, uncle, husband, and father, Lee Oxendine and his family. Lee has recently battled through 6 critical weeks in the hospital ICU, Inpatient Rehab Center and he will now start 2-3 more months at Walter Reed medical facility and Georgetown for his radiation treatment and more Outpatient rehab.

On February 6, 2022, Lee was spending time with his wife, Ashley, 2yo son Leo, and twin babies Layla and Liam (5 mos.). Out of nowhere, Lee suffered from what the doctors called “a bleeding stroke.” He was taken to the hospital where the doctors found a blood clot in his brain. He then went into a 6 hour surgery where the surgeons were able to stop the bleed on Lee’s brain. Many uncertain days followed the surgery, but with each day, our Lee keeps showing signs of improvement. The doctors eventually found a medulloblastoma in Lee’s brain, which is a rare cancerous tumor. He will start radiation at the end of March and hopefully be able to move home after to start HomeHealth rehab.

A few words that best describe Lee and his character would be: God-fearing, loving, kind, strong-willed, modest, and driven. Lee admirably serves in the United States Armed Forces as a member of the Navy. Even more admirably, he loves and serves his wife, children, and family with his entire heart. If you were to look up ‘perfect gentleman’ in the dictionary, you would see Lee’s photo. He is, without a doubt, someone we are all blessed to know and love.

He has a long road to a full recovery. We would like to make sure that money is not something that he or his family needs to worry about. His wife, Ashley, is expected to be unable to work for about 8 months, losing a significant portion of their income. We would be extremely grateful for any donation that you could possibly make. Most importantly, we would appreciate and welcome all prayers for Lee, his family, and his recovery.

Thank you!
