24 Walking the Oxfam 50km & 100km

In March 2018, myself and 23 other awesome humans are taking part in the Oxfam Melbourne Trailwalk. There are 4 teams doing 100km and 2 teams doing 50km.

Together we have a target of $8400.

Walking this distance is difficult for most people but for this group, less than two years ago they were complete non exercisers who were either overweight or very unfit or both and often bullied and laughed at when they went to exercise. Through a supportive learn to run group they are taking on challeneges hey never thought were possible.

Now they are all taking on this incredibly tough challenge not only for themselves but for those who are far less fortunate than them.

Oxfam Trailwalker in Australia has raised more than $70 million since 1999. With the support of Trailwalker teams, Oxfam has the funds to carry out vital work around the world and enable the people they help to bring about positive change in their lives. Together they are promoting education, ensuring access to clean water, teaching skills to grow food and fighting for their rights.
