Owen’s Monthly Trips to Seattle Children’s

Hi friends & family! Owen’s mom here :)

For anyone that doesn’t know, our 4 year old son was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor three years ago. The tumor is within and around his optic nerves, leaving him blind in one eye. The last 3 years he has been on chemotherapy or oral inhibitors to keep the tumor stable with hopes of preserving the vision he has left. As of October 2023, the tumor is growing again meaning he will need to switch medications/treatment plan. To do so, we will need to travel to Seattle Children’s Hospital on November 20th, then again at the end of December, and again in January. These trips are absolutely worth it but traveling is not cheap. I am in the process of arranging flights through IHS for Owen and I but we are hoping we can raise enough money to buy a ticket for his dad because Owen likes to have us both with him during these appointments (and I get scared to drive in the city)… we are also hoping to raise enough to help with a rental car and meals while we are in the area. I will try to do some other type of fundraising along the way but I was encouraged to create the Go Fund Me because it’s the easiest way to reach out for help without adding any extra stress on ourselves. Please consider donating or at the very least saying a prayer for sweet Owen.. he has been through so much and gets horrible anxiety at his appointments. Thank you so much.
