On June 3, 2015 a precious baby boy was born to Bill and Shenna (Oney) Reimund. They named him Owen Matthew, meaning young fighter and gift from God.
Owen has many surgeries ahead of him. He was born with a hole in the septum of his heart and also the vein that was supposed to go in the left side of his heart, was going into the right side of his heart. He had open heart sugery at Cincinnati Children's Hospital when he was less than an hour old. He was also born with a double cleft lip and palate, a cleft eye lid, a cleft ear and only one good kidney with cysts around the dead kidney. He will be having several more surgeries and therapy to correct these things. He is the only known person in the world with this combination ever. His parents were told that he will be followed and studied by the Doctors in Cincinnati until he is in College. Please find it in your heart to help this family out in their tough times.
