Sixth Grade Math teacher Amanda Owenby, her husband Ryan and 2 1/2 year old daughter Claire recently welcomed a new addition to their family seven weeks ago as baby Cate was born.  The Owenby family now is struggling as Ryan’s cancer that had been in remission has returned.  Earlier today Ryan lost his gallant fight with this terrible disease so we are now asking the Pleasant Ridge Community to assist the family with financial help in order to make the large medical bills and family expenses a bit more manageable as they cope with the loss of their husband and dad.  In times like these it becomes evident that Pleasant Ridge is more than just a school, it is a community of people who care for one another like family.  Please consider donating today to help this wonderful teacher and her family.
