Owen Terry Parkhurst
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tammy and on October 26th our world was turned upside down. In less than 24 hours, our 18 year old nephew Owen passed away suddenly and very unexpectedly. When Owen’s mom Crystal took him to the hospital Wednesday night, she never thought in a million years that she would be saying goodbye to him the next day. None of us did.
Owen had a smile and laugh that could light up a room. His sense of humour and ability to make people smile was something to be admired. He was a great friend to many and the pillar in his family, taking on the role of being the oldest brother to his sister and two brothers.
Owen was passionate about athletics, he played competitive basketball for Valley Pride and was looking forward to being an assistant basketball coach for his younger brother’s team this year. His parents have decided to create an athletics award in Owen’s honour at the Arnprior District High School titled “The Owen Parkhurst Best Sportsmanship Award”.
At this time donations to help the Parkhurst family with funeral costs would be greatly appreciated. Any excess funds will be donated to the athletics award in Owen’s honour.
