On Monday December 5, 2022 Owen was experiencing chest and shoulder pain on his right side. He was transported to Riverside community Hospital were they determined he had a tear in his aorta. Since then he had to be induced in a coma and put on a ventilator due to an infection in his lungs. From there he ended up having a heart attack. On Wednesday, he was airlifted to Keck medical Center at USC. He is out of the coma but is heavily sedated. They cannot do the surgery to fix the tear in his Aorta until his lungs and blood pressure are more stable.
