It's been a rough year for my family, to say the least. In Jan of 2019, my brother was in a horrific car accident, he almost lost his life and someone very special to him did lose her life. He has spent the last year rehabbing himself back to health mentally and physically and then this week (12-19-19) the unimaginable happened. His son Owen suddenly passed away at the age of 8. It's like a wave of absolute emptiness has swept over my family. It's unbelievable. The Universe has changed forever, it will never be the same. No words can explain the black cloud that seems to be surrounding this situation. Why? Why does God take children? .....
He was a beautiful 8 year old little guy. He was ALWAYS smiling, and I mean always. He was silly, he was a talker .... oh boy, that would get him in trouble in school. He just wanted to socialize with his classmates all day. I guess he got that from me, his extremely extroverted aunt. He loved his dad and his brothers, he loved his Gran because "she made him pancakes" and he loved being at Gran's house. His favorite song was 7 years by Lucas Graham. He loved Legos, he fought with his older brothers because he wanted his turn on the PlayStation. He always wanted a cat. He loved Christmas, just 6 days, he was so excited. He was innocent, only 8 ...... he had a lifetime ahead of him. He was a son, brother, grandson, great grandson, nephew, cousin and beautiful soul.
I really could go on and on but most of you know me or my brother. If you happen to read this and you don't know me, I am just a sister that wants to help out my only sibling. He has been through so much.
I wanted to make this as short as I could, not to go on an on in my fuzzy state of shock and grief.
The cost of a funeral is very high, my brother had just got back to work after the accident. I have family members I would like to help travel to the funeral. I would like to help my brother so he isn't stressed out about medical bills and other bills that pile up as he deals with this unimaginable situation.
For any of you that want to help, God bless you.
Please hug those closest to you today, tell them you love them, enjoy the small, simple moments ......
