Medical and Family Support For Owen Bell

My name is Aaron Garrison, and on behalf of Aaron & Amanda Bell creating this for medical expenses and family support for their son Owen Bell.

On October 28th, 2022, Owen, a healthy 16-year-old kid, had a medical emergency at home after basketball practice. At this time, he was rushed by ambulance to a local hospital and immediately transferred to Children's Mercy in Kansas City. They determined that his brain was swelling and placed him into a medically induced coma and on a ventilator to control the swelling and limit any damage.

After continued scans and MRIs, doctors have determined that Owen suffered a traumatic brain injury impacting all aspects of function (verbal, motor, movement, cognitive - brain function, also currently does not have vision either) As of November 22nd, Owen is still in Children's Mercy, on a feeding tube, and doctors are working to identify not only the cause for this but a long-term plan for Owen's rehabilitation

As the Bell family navigates this new journey, we want to ease this for them as they incur medical bills, rehab costs, time missed from work, and the daily commute to the hospital.
