Owen & Engine Employee Relief Fund

Like many places of business, Owen & Engine has been closed for the time being due to the Governor’s efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Our staff is like a small family. Most of us have been here for years and thrive on our amazing community and guests. All of the funds will go to our employees as a way to compensate for the loss of income we are experiencing. Every little bit helps and is very much appreciated.

Go Fund Me asks that we clarify our exact intentions with this so here goes:

Who you are and where you’re from

We are Owen & Engine, a small farm to table/ scratch kitchen and bar in Logan Square, a neighborhood in Chicago, IL.

Your relationship or contact to the parties you're raising funds for

We are the staff of Owen & Engine, a tight-knit diverse group of workers.

How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible)

The funds will be going directly to the staff to compensate for their lack of income with such little notice. Many of our staff have families including infants/ small children.

Your withdrawal plan to get the funds from the campaign to the ultimate beneficiary/ies

All of the funds  will be withdrawn to our account, and then payment made directly to our dishwashers, prep crew, line cooks, bartenders, servers and food runners from the total campaign amount withdrawn.

To everyone who has ever supported us: thank you so much. We will get through this together.
