As many of you know, I have been having what I like to call "a few medical challenges". These have come at a bad time, as another medical challenge (covid 19) has created some monetary losses that I was not well prepared for.
My medical bills have been piling up since my medical savings has been depleted. Since March my A fib has been running rampant, so I have been going to doctors, had a monitor, been tested for covid, tested for strep, been in the ER twice, had an endoscopy, a tonsorial abscess, a GI bleed, going in for a colonoscopy, preparing for ablation surgery, and will be getting my tonsils out. When you warranty expires it's tough on a guy.
Due to covid, I have lost just under $5000 in income form my side gigs that I would normally have had to help with these expenses.
So, now I find myself with lots of piled up bills, and nowhere to turn. I will be looking at a second job after my surgeries, but I can't really do that right now.
The good news is, my out of pocket has been met for the year, so future procedures will be fully covered, so there won't be more bills piling up. More good news, I increased my medical savings for next year, just in case.
The bad news, people would like to get paid and I have run out of options (a loan through a bank not possible at this time). So here I stand, with my hand outstretched asking friends, family, enemies and strangers if they might consider helping me out of this bind. (As we say at the melodrama, we will take anybody's money.)
I realize I am not the only one with problems, and these problems are not the biggest problems in the world. I am just finding them insurmountable.
What do you get out of this: a promise that I hope to be able to pay back any money given here within the next two years. I look at this as more of a short term loan than a gift. The gift is that you read this far and took time to consider helping me out.
Thank you for your time,
Rory
