Hi everyone, my name is Yolanda Moffat, I am an international student at University of Sunshine Coast, studying a Bachelor of Human services

I am writing to request fundraising assistance for travel expenses related to my upcoming pregnancy. My due date is September 9, 2024, but due to medical considerations, I need to travel back to my home country before reaching 36 weeks of pregnancy which is end of July 2024.

As a non-resident, the healthcare coverage and costs for delivering my baby in this country would be prohibitively expensive. It is important that I am able to return to my home country, where I have access to affordable, quality prenatal and delivery care through the national healthcare system. After delivery I will come back and proceed with my studies.

The estimated cost for a roundtrip flight to my home country is $AU 4000, including all the medical expenses in my home country.This will allow me to receive the care I need during the final stages of my pregnancy and delivery. Any financial contributions towards this travel expense would be deeply appreciated and would ensure I can have a safe and healthy birth experience.
