Overseas Medical Emergency for Kyle
Donation protected
Please join us in helping support our youngest Reiter brother Kyle and his wife Heidi!
They are currently overseas in Indonesia. Kyle and Heidi are on vacation and were spearfishing when the accident happened. What we know is that a boat hit Kyle and the propeller cut up his right leg really bad. He was rushed to the hospital and given an epidural for the pain.
This fund is to help them with emergency medical expenses and transport back home to Minnesota.
Kyle is our youngest brother and we love him dearly. As many of you know, it was 12 years and 4 months to the date that he was in the accident with our dad who passed, and it’s more and more clear that something dark wants him taken out of this world. We speak against that darkness right now.
Thank God he survived and no major arteries were hit.
Your prayers, thought, good vibes, and financial sacrifices are very very much appreciated!
Update 11/18/18:
He’s out of surgery and his shin bone was broken by the propeller and his femur fractured
Update 11/19/18
Due to poor conditions at the current hospital he is in, a team is being put together to transport Kyle to Singapore by air ambulance. Thank you all for your support- whether spiritual, financial, or emotional. It means the world to our family! Please continue to share this posting, there is such strength in numbers!
Update 11/20/18
Earlier this morning Kyle was able to get transferred via air ambulance to a better suited Hospital in Singapore. He texted the family saying he's very relieved to be in a facility that can care for him, but is extremely tired and will give an update once he's rested. Thank you all for your support! It's truly humbling to see the love presented by everyone of you. We've been advised from a couple individuals that have had medical expenses overseas and from the information they've told us, we will be raising the goal amount to try and alleviate as much of their expenses as possible.
Update 11/21/18
Heidi's parents have flown to the Singapore hospital to support them. Kyle has undergone a 2nd surgery to clean out the wounds and the surgery went well. His lacerations on his right leg are long and deep, cutting through nerves and tendons to the bone. Please join us in praying for expedited natural and supernatural healing of his right leg! Kyle will be making it to thanksgiving dinner tonight via FaceTime... and for that, we couldn't be more thankful!
Update 11/22/18
The Reiter family got to share Thanksgiving dinner with Kyle via FaceTime, what a blessing it was! Thank you for your continued shares and support!
Update 11/24/18
Hello everyone, this is Kyle. It has been one week since the accident! Thank you to everyone who has supported Heidi and me through this challenging and at times horrific experience. Your calls, texts, prayers, financial support, good vibes, etc have given us strength and hope.
My wound currently has a vacuum in it to help it heal and combat the current infection. My doctor plans to operate again on Monday to assess the wound for infection and blood flow. We won’t know exactly what the outlook is until after surgery but so far things have been going well.
Again thank you all so much for everything. We miss you and can’t wait to give everyone a big hug. The current plan is to fly back on Tuesday if all goes as planned.
