Hi, My name is Jacqueline, and I am fundraising for medical expenses for my sister Jennifer.
She is here in Australia visiting from Canada and has ended up in the hospital and requires surgery. She has no insurance, and Canada is not a reciprocal country to Australia for medical purposes; therefore, this emergency will incur over $20 000 at least in expenses. Jennifer went to the hospital two days ago with severe kidney pain. They gave her painkillers and sent her home. Last night at midnight, after taking a pain killer, Jennifer went to get up to go to the toilet, blacked out, and fell to the ground, banging her face and knee and becoming semiunconscience. We had to get an ambulance. She spent the night in the Byron Central Hospital, and after a CT scan today, it is determined that she has a large kidney stone that is obstructed and has caused an infection in the urinary tract and possibly in the kidney. This stone must be surgically removed. Jennifer also has sepsis and tacacardia. She has been ambulanced to Tweed Valley Hospital where the have the suitable facilities to look after her.
As Jennifer has no funds for these costs, we are asking for the support of friends and family to assist in this difficult time. Thank you for supporting Jennifer's road to recovery.
