I am a retiree in my 70s, living in Vancouver, British Columbia, and  trying to sponsor a good man to Canada. I met Musa Ahmadi in 2019, at a refugee centre in Jakarta, where we were volunteer teachers. He is a single man of 29, and had to flee Afghanistan after his father was murdered by the Taliban. 

His efforts to emigrate through the UN High Commission for Refugees process  have been repeatedly delayed  as priority is given (understandably) to distraught families and single mothers.  He never complained to me, but after six years in limbo (no work permit, or valid travel documents, or hope for Indonesian citizenship) he is hurting.  

Musa speaks English fluently, has a university degree in math and science, and worked in Afghanistan as a book-keeper. To begin the sponsorship process, I must raise sufficient funds, as required  by the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship in Canada.    

There are 60 million refugees out there and I would like to help one. 
Please help me do that, and help Musa live and work safely in Canada.
