I met a young mother, Cassie, at Planned Parenthood while I was there preaching the gospel and pleading for fathers and mothers to protect and provide for their children. Cassie came out of Planned Parenthood and stopped to speak with me. She told me she did not want to murder her baby, but did not know what else to do.
She said, and showed me through her email, that she has $4,344.80 owed in house payments going back several months. She also said that her electricity will be turned off on March 12 unless she pays the outstanding balance of $1,359.53. In addition, she said she needs a car but did not want to be overwhelming in her needs. I told her I would set up a fund raising effort to her her pay those bills. Her biggest need at the moment is to pay off her overdue electricity bill.
In the Lord's providence I was able to speak with her at length, as she waited for her ride, and was able to briefly share the gospel with her and point her to Christ before she had to leave. I also gave her a a copy of the Scriptures containing the New Testament and Psalms.
In addition, I'm working to get her in touch with local brethren so we can continue to point her to Christ and disciple her.
To God be the glory. Thank you in advance to the brethren who contribute to the support of this mother in need.
1 Corinthians 15:58 "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord".
