Hi, I'm Freya. My bank, without warning, has notified me that it's changing my account type and consequently reducing my overdraft limit by £2,500.

When this limit is exceeded, I'll be unable to withdraw funds from the account, meaning I will be unable to pay for food or rent. I'll also incur interest that I don't have the means to pay off; especially after the costs from recent life events (moving apartments, helping my partner into secure housing).

The recent cost of living crisis in the UK has meant I've been unable to progress the overdraft since leaving education, so the total has sat around £3,000 for several years. Living with me and dependent on this apartment is my partner Angel, a student who doesn't have the resources to contribute to the bill. Just about everyone else who could help us out is dealing with other financial emergencies.
