Cassie is a mother of two, Mariah Lynn 8 and Aliyah Rose 2. About 1 year ago she began having bad migraines, numbness, and blurred vision. After many doctor visits and multiple physicians they found a large mass on the right side of her brain. Which was then identified as a rare tumor, Mariah wanted to name it “Timmy the Tumor”. Once identified her symptoms quickly escalated.   Cassie had a scheduled appointment for October 25th at the Mayo Clinic in Az. When her symptoms got worse, around September 1st they called the Mayo for a possible cancellation and she was fortunate enough to catch a 8 a.m. appointment for the fallowing day on September 2nd. Cassie along with her girls, mom and sister were immediately Phoenix bound. After her appointment they schedule for immediate surgery for September 5th.   She went in for surgery early on the 5th day of September, with her family and God by her side. Doctors and surgeons thought they had removed majority of the mass but later that evening She began to have complications. They did another MRI which showed there was about 50% more left of Timmy. Cassie was then scheduled for surgery #2 on September 9th. Surgery #2 went better then expected and the doctors and surgeons were able to remove about 90% of the mass. She was released on Wednesday September 11th. After 3 long weeks she is now back home and doing very well. Cassie along with her family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support through this difficult journey, it is very much appreciated.  Cassie is going to have to make more trips back to the Mayo Clinic, pending biopsy results she will follow up with either chemo and or radiation.
