I’d be lying if I said I’m ok. 


As I’m sitting in the hospital with my son for the third time in the past 3 months I find myself in a position where although I hate asking my help, I’m reaching out to my community for support. 

Wednesday night I had a breakdown and was unable to return to work. 2018 has been an extremely difficult time for me. Brandon’s asthma has been at an all time high and with my hours being decreased mid July, then my position being eliminated altogether, I have been struggling to keep up with bills and particularly the medical bills associated with his hospital care. I have been in an ongoing battle as well with my apt complex over an error on their end which made it appear as if I had not paid rent some months ago. While they recognize its their error, I am still on the hook for the money and am thinking of breaking my lease not only due to this but because of the air quality in my apt which has an effect on Brandon’s health. Everything came to ahead this week after an argument with the other parent regarding lack of support, I found myself feeling useless and that I had become a complete failure as I am used to being able to pick the pieces back up on my own. 

I hate asking for help but I keep trying and trying to do this on my own just to find another setback. I even took a Debt Free course last month in hopes of getting back on my feet but everytime I turn around it’s another bill or hospital visit. I’m reaching out and asking for help in managing this all. If you can contribute anything at all any and everything helps. 

Even if you cannot contribute financially, words of encouragement and resources will also help me tremendously.
