Battling Cancer: A Journey of Hope, Strength, and Resilience
Donation protected
The past three years have been an incredibly difficult journey, one filled with loss and overwhelming challenges. I’ve had to navigate the heartbreaking loss of my oldest son, a pain I still carry every day. Shortly after that, I went through a divorce. As if that wasn’t enough, I was then faced with the daunting diagnosis of breast cancer. Each step has tested my strength and resilience in ways I never imagined possible, but through it all, I’ve learned more about my own capacity to endure and find hope, even in the darkest of times.
After discussing my situation with my radiation oncologist, he explained that, due to my triple-negative breast cancer and the high risk of recurrence, he recommends an aggressive treatment approach. I will be doing 6 1/2 weeks of treatments in Garden City, Monday thru Friday. Dealing with cancer has placed a heavy financial burden on me, with rising travel and medical expenses.
