In mid-2023, I received amazing news that my girlfriend was pregnant. I was on cloud nine because I was both going to be a dad and give my parents their first grandchild. Unfortunately, my girlfriend had a substance abuse problem she just would not kick or try to, which resulted in her losing the baby very early on. I was devastated, and it ultimately ended things between us shortly after October.

Then, fast forward to New Year's Day 2024, and my father passed away. I turned 40 that March, and the loss of becoming a dad and the loss of my dad just hit me. My focus and finances just started to spiral out of control. I struggled for the better part of the last year, working two jobs and barely being able to keep up with the payments. My truck was totaled when a woman ran a red light, which, true, was paid off from the accident but left me without a vehicle or the means to get another. I’m currently living on my mother's couch and borrowing my brother's car to get to work.

I’ve come to the conclusion that bankruptcy is my only option. So, this is me asking for help to get the money to pay the fees to file bankruptcy. A fresh start would make a world of difference in me being able to see a future for myself beyond the day-to-day struggle I’m in now.
