Young colon cancer fighter

My name is Jessica Davis. I am 33 year old single mom of two wonderful children. In less than a two month period I found out that I have Stage 3C Colon Cancer. It was devastating news to hear, especially over the phone. From the time that I found out within two weeks I was being rolled into surgery to have my tumor removed. While in surgery they discovered that my tumor was so big that it was sitting on my urethra. So while in surgery my urethra had to be repaired in order to have the cancer fully removed my colon. This was on June 4.
Today I am home recovering for the surgery that I almost did not make it through. The doctors were very concerned for my health because of the anesthesia that was used for my surgery could of been too strong. Instead of waking up in a couple of hours like a typical patient, I did not wake up from surgery until 24 hours later. This had everyone, doctors included, wrecking their brains on what to do. So the fact that I am alive today is simply a miracle.
I begin my six months of chemo in two weeks which affects my ability to work full time to take care of my children and household bills.
