Overcome the Distance: A Bike for My Job

In April, my car broke down. With no savings left after a tough year of unemployment in 2023, replacing it is not an option for at least another year. Right now, I have been lucky because my workplace has been incredibly kind and allowed me to temporarily work at a smaller office closer to home. I have also been able to rent city bikes to get there each day.

Recently, I just won an 800 dollar voucher from the State of Massachusetts to go towards an e-bike. This cuts my funding literally in half! The type of bike I am hoping to get will go more than 40 miles on a single charge to make commuting easier. Unfortunately, these high-mileage e-bikes aren't very cheap. The ones I'm looking at are about 1600. This e-bike would ensure that I can commute to work every day with ease
