Overcome Hate: Support ‘Uprising Bakery & Cafe’

Hi there - my name is Anthony, and I grew up in Lake in the Hills. I was heartbroken to hear about the hatred spewed at, and the violent attack and act of vandalism against ‘Uprising Bakery and Cafe.’

If you haven’t heard, Uprising received countless threats, hate mail, and messages for planning to host a Drag Show — followed through by a vicious hate crime with an attack on the building, and even worse an attack on the very messages of love, inclusion, and acceptance.

In times like this, the community can come together and demonstrate the unmistakable message that love, acceptance, and inclusion are much more powerful than hate.
