Over the Silver Moon Across the Rainbow Bridge

It says to introduce myself and tell my story, but it’s not my story I am telling. This is a story about a girl and her horse. For those of you that know Tara know that she would never do this for herself so we are doing it for her. Over the Silver Moon better known as Coby was Tara’s heart horse. He was the absolute epitome of a gentle giant. On June 15th 2021 Coby had his second much more serious round of founder in both his hind legs (who founders in the hind!!) and it was bad, but this isn’t where their story ends. Coby spent the better part of the last year on stall rest and Tara spent it nursing him back to health. There was finally a light at the end of the tunnel, a week short of one year since he foundered Tara was riding him and he was doing fabulous!!!! Sadly on June 7th Tara got the call that no horse owner ever wants to receive, Coby was colicing. Coby was rushed to Tufts and went in for surgery and the news wasn’t good. Tara had to make the hardest decision anyone can make and let her best friend go. This fundraiser can’t bring him back but has been created to ease some of the financial burden from trying to save his life. Please donate what you can, every penny helps.
