119 fatalities, 150 injuries in Iraq fire

(Sep. 27, 2023) - As most have heard of the devastating fire in Iraq has resulted in 119 deaths, and more than 150 injured at a wedding party. This occurred in the north region Qaraqosh (Hamdanyia) of Iraq's Nineveh Plains Province near Karmeles.

A priest who serves this area, Fr. Karam Shamasha has joined forces with Hope for Iraqi Christians in San Diego, California to identify those most affected, and will help us distribute the funds to those impacted most by the catastrophe.

All donations collected will be placed in a separate fund. It will be used to “Adopt a Needy Family”, at $100/month. This way they will be sustained for months or years to come.
