Ovarian tumour removal

Hi everyone, I'm Jen

I'm a self-employed comic book artist working full-time in the independent scene here in the UK.

I was really hoping I wouldn't need to make a gofundme for this thing, but here we are, over 6 months later and now with the news that my insurance won't cover me, I'm having to self-fund my ovarian cystectomy.

There are longer posts and even a youtube video about my situation further down for those who want a more in-depth explanation to what's been happening with me - but in the interest of time, I'll keep it short and sweet:

I have an ovarian tumour the size of a 4-month pregnancy which will need open surgery to remove.

The cost for the surgery is £7000, and would include me staying in hospital for 3 days.

I am also aware that I will not be able to work - possibly at all - for a couple of weeks while recuperating at home, so all of my income will stop.
