Cilla, our beloved school cat passed away recently after a sudden illness. She lived at our school for many years, spreading love and joy. Cilla supported our children and staff in so many ways and through her popular social media accounts she connected our school with the wider world. Her daily “bimblings” earned us many friends around the globe and also earned her a national award as a connected cat. Her “little people” would like to keep her memory alive by buying a carved friendship bench for the playground and some cat willow sculptures for the school nature area, Cilla loved to wander the nature area & join them in their forest school lessons. Cilla also loved the school library where the children would read to her and share the many books donated by her friends, so any surplus funds would be used for a literacy project.
