"Outside The Lines" Short Film

Dear movie lovers,

 

My name is Darren Lee Campbell, and I am the co-writer and male lead actor for the short film "Outside The Lines." The starring cast includes Kassandra Escamilla (Bobby & Cher) , Alex Castillo (Clemency) , Brenda Banda (Shameless) , Andrew Jacobs (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones) and Keith Robinson (Dreamgirls). Inspired by true events, Outside The Lines is a modern day Romeo and Juliet story that tackles racial tension between Blacks and Hispanics and takes place in 2014 centered around the 2014 bombings of Black homes in Boyle Heights. The film is also written by producer, co-writer and director Leon Pierce Jr, founder of Insane Genius Productions. Leon recently directed, wrote and produced the feature film "Welcome Matt" starring Tahj Mowry, Deon Cole and GG Townson which is now streaming on Starz. My goal for this film is to shed light on acts of racism that took place in 2014, but to also spread awareness and love in hopes of bringing the black and brown community closer together. Our goal is to reach 15k to complete this project which will cover the production with the actors, crew, equipment, location and food expenses.
