Here we are in the holiday season, and our situation is precarious.

We found out a few weeks ago that the landlady at our new house misrepresented it to us and that we can’t continue living here. We filed a small claims suit against her and expect to be out by the end of December. In other words, we will be moving…

…again…

…on Christmas.

To make matters even more challenging, my mother-in-law’s SNAP benefits have been cut because of Trump. She lives with us, so we will be picking up that cost.

We need to get through these next two months. We need to find a new place and move. We dedicate many hours of every day to the various parts of the home search. Frankly, I’m sick to death of it. But we don’t have any other choice. The simultaneous collapse of our society and our family has made us modern day nomads, vulnerable to everything privilege used to protect us from.
