Outlander Gallery In Journal Square!
Donation protected
Hello, I'm Charley Cano, owner and curator at Outlander Gallery.
I am moving our little gallery to the Journal Square neighborhood of Jersey City to better serve the arts community and increase accessibility to the general public.
Our former storefront location on Monticello Avenue was just too small and obscurely stationed for the abundance of wonderful talents already here in the area and which are being attracted to the city.
The new space is approximately 1000 square feet and centrally located in a busy commercial district conveniently connected by train and tunnel to visitors from and to the New York City metropolitan area. We will be able to properly present a full scope of the arts from painting, sculpture and photography, to music, dance and poetry; from the classical to the modern to the avante-garde. We will also be able to continue our practice of accessibility for neighborhood, grassroots, senior, and youth organizations in Jersey City.
The funds I am seeking will start us off for the first two months so we can be up and running. The plan is to be open by October 1st, 2022, so I will have to have everything ready by September 29th.
Outlander Gallery is an independent, community-oriented and inclusive arts company dedicated to emerging and mid-career artists. We are an artist-owned and -operated business, and not a non-profit; contributions are not tax-deductible.
