Friends, neighbors and fellow-Woodsiders!
As some of you know, I have been involved over at the Village Hub for the last year or so. I started volunteering my time because I simply love what it IS and want to support what it can continue to become for our community. It has been a beautiful outdoor haven for me and my kids before and after school, a channel for spiritual and artistic connection through truly inspiring programming, and as we all know, the BEST coffee in town (and baked goods thanks to our pop-up bakers)! I know this is true for so many of you too. It is where our bikers meet, we greet neighbors, WES parents pick up their pre-or post--drop off morning chai and our community really comes together in the physical sense.
That said, our Village Hub is really in need of some landscaping love! which is where this email comes in. We have been so blessed to have had a talented Landscape Architect in our community donate her time to put together a plan, however simple, of how some cleanup plus a few select enhancements can really make a difference. And with that in hand, I am stepping up to help see it through, meaning raising the funding for labor and materials. The Coffee Bar does not make profit quite yet (particularly true since Covid struck), so we really rely on the generosity of our community-members like you and me.
Our need is $8,000 and I am personally pledging $1,000 plus my time to meeting this goal. Will you please join me in helping to make the Village Hub a place of beauty, peace and inspiration for us all?
The GoFundMe will run all of this week through Friday. I am so grateful to each one of you for any level of contribution you are able to make!
Sincerely,
Melissa Petkov
