I’m Not Starting Over — I’m Trying to Stay Housed and Stable

After a quiet stretch, I’m updating this campaign to reflect where things truly stand today — and why help is needed now.

If you’re reading this and wondering whether this campaign is still current, that’s a fair question — and I want to answer it directly.

This fundraiser went quiet for a period, not because the need disappeared, but because I paused to reassess, stabilize my health, and make sure I was being honest and responsible about what I was asking for. I’m back now because the situation is real, immediate, and time-sensitive. Right now, I’m facing housing instability, lapsed insurance, and mounting essential bills. I’m not asking for a fresh start or a miracle — I’m asking for a defined, short-term bridge to stay housed, medically stable, and able to move forward. The amount shown here reflects what is realistically needed to stop the downward spiral and regain footing — not a wish list, not an exaggeration. If you choose to help, you’re helping with something concrete and urgent, not abstract or indefinite.

In 2011, a medical emergency nearly ended my life.
Against all odds, I survived.
But survival is not the same as living.

For more than a decade after, I carried the weight of trauma, PTSD, and depression. Medical debt piled up faster than I could pay it. I kept telling myself, “I’m a man. I can handle this.”
I couldn’t.

I worked harder, smiled wider, and hid the truth — I was breaking inside. The trauma, the depression, the shame… they didn’t just take my peace; they took my voice.

Today, I’m doing the hardest thing I’ve ever done: asking for help.
Not out of desperation, but out of hope.
Hope that compassion still exists. Hope that people still care about those trying to rebuild after life has taken nearly everything.

This campaign isn’t about luxury — it’s about stability, survival, and dignity.
Every dollar helps me climb out of the spiral that started with medical debt and grew into something that nearly erased me.

It’s taken years to reach the point where I can speak honestly — to stop hiding behind strength, and finally ask for help rebuilding.

Tier 2 Goal — $19,500 to End the Spiral

This goal represents the turning point — the milestone that stops the downward slide and lets me start paying down critical medical and credit debt in collections.
It’s not a wish list. It’s the cost of stabilizing a life that barely made it through survival.

Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a tangible difference right now.
Even $5 or sharing this page helps more than you might imagine.

Please take five minutes to open and read my story — it matters.
Every share, every message, and every donation helps me keep moving toward life — not just survival.
