"Out Casted" Short Film

Hello supporters and prospective supporters,

 

Our team has been working hard in pre-production to make our short film a reality, but we can’t finish without your help.

About the film: "Out Casted" is a short film showcasing the difficult task that our lead actress has of doing the right thing amongst others who seemingly thrive by doing the exact opposite.
 
The logline: Emily is rattled and forced to act on her feet during a critical audition when she is blindsided by her longtime rival's shocking secrets.

Collaboration backstory: Four different filmmakers in Raleigh, NC ended 2021 with the same goal for 2022; they all wanted to make a powerful short film, which showcases their unique talents, and deliver it to audiences at short film festivals to enjoy. Being that these 4 individuals were meeting for the first time, there was work to do. They each set out networking. Persistence, good judgment, and a little luck combined and the four found each other. Understanding the common goal of the newly formed group, the filmmakers utilized the strengths of each group member and focused on the main pieces to the movie making puzzle, screenwriting, directing, acting, location scouting, editing, and casting. With the shooting deadline readily approaching, fundraising is now the main focus.

 

Where will the film be shown – Once the film is complete, it will be entered into several local film festivals. The festival deadlines are in May 2022, so we are focused on gaining your support.

 

Join our collaboration. Help us, if you are able, with a donation. Funds collected will go directly to location costs, food costs, and should there be extra, fuel costs of the cast and crew. We anticipate under twenty people on this production. All will be donating their time, equipment, and talent in order to gain credit on the film and be part of the collaboration.
