Contrary to popular belief, the shortage of life-saving personal protective equipment (PPE) is still very real. DonatePPE.org is helping to fight that shortage from the ground up with #OurStrengthIsBeautiful: a social media campaign empowering anyone to help provide PPE to healthcare workers everywhere.
The campaign is driven by the show of strength from healthcare workers, many who wear two or three used masks at a time while treating COVID-19 patients. DonatePPE.org is calling on Instagram and Twitter users to share their own “selfies of strength” using the hashtag #OurStrengthIsBeautiful. The selfie can depict any interpretation of “strength” during this pandemic (for example, a mom homeschooling her children, an immune-compromised person battling illness, a couple holding a COVID wedding ceremony, an athlete working out from home, or a child wearing a mask.)
As a completely volunteer-run organization, DonatePPE.org is calling for both the public and corporate sponsors to join our effort and provide life-saving PPE to frontline healthcare workers. All donations go directly to purchasing and shipping PPE to healthcare workers domestically and internationally.

DonatePPE.org is a charitable startup partnered with ProductPub and CMAIN, two tax-exempt, registered 501(c)(3) charitable organizations. DonatePPE.org was founded in an emergency response to the coronavirus pandemic. Their mission is to save lives on the frontline by ensuring every healthcare professional and essential worker in underserved communities maintains an adequate supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) needed to fight COVID-19. DonatePPE.org is 100% volunteer-run, and is pending non-profit status.
DonatePPE.org focuses on 3 main avenues for obtaining PPE for donation:
Community Donations: Connecting individual donors to hospitals and healthcare facilities through our nationwide hospital database (over 2,000) and community organized donation drives.
Corporate Donations: developing partnerships with brands for donations. Some brand partners thus far include Ford Motor Co., Flexport, Citizens of Humanity, and Norwex.
Procurement: Fundraising, identifying suppliers, and purchasing PPE directly from them to ship to frontline healthcare workers in need.
