Lola vs Cancer..Help Her Win!!!

They say dog is man's best friend. If you ever met Lola, she really wouldn't care who you were because she would want to be your best friend too.

For those whose who dont know me, my name is Nick Luberger and Lola has been my family's dog since I was 15. Ever since that unforgettable Christmas Eve that we got her, Lola has always had a special place in our hearts. She is one of the kindest, sweetest, and most loving dogs I have ever known, and I'm pretty sure it would be impossible to find someone who wouldn't want to give her one of her favorite treats or a simple pat on her nose.

Originally from Ohio, Lola has been to our nation's capital,  college, and she has even had the chance to take a cross country road trip to live with me and my fiancee' here in California. Even though she's seen her family move to different corners of the country, Lola has always been there, waiting patiently for her loved ones and family to come home.

After all of that though, Lola faces a journey that we now need your help with so we can keep her with us at home. Just recently, this pup and her family found out she is battling something we can't see or fight for her ourselves. Cancer.

Speciffically, Stage 1 Nasal Carsinoma, or for people like myself that weren't Pre-Med, Nasal Cancer. While she still acts just like her normal self, playing, running for cookies, and of course her favorite, begging for attention, she is going to need our support and treatment to ensure she can keep living a long and happy life just like she has been for these past 9 years.

Even though the Veteranary Oncologists at UC Davis are extremely confident in a full recovery, we still need to take action right away. We can get Lola into a new course of treatment that has been extremely successful for other dogs with nasal carsonoma just like her.

In this program, dogs with Lola's same condition had 100% positive response to shrinking cancerous cells and 29.72% saw a complete remission when exposed to this specific radiation treatment.  It's absolutely remarkable! We would love nothing more than for her to have the same chance as those other dogs.

While we are very excited to have an opportuntiy like this, there still is a very large cost. Her doctors estimate the three week treatment could run upwards of $5,000. That along with daily trips, five days a week to  and from the medical facilities at UC Davis in Davis, CA from Sacramento can be extremly taxing. While it is currently localized to her nose, this type of cancer is aggressive and we need to get her help sooner rather than later.

Obviosly, no one is ever really prepared for anything like this, but with our wedding only three months away, we find ourselves in a much tighter financial spot.

This is why we need your help.

Any help you can give is much appreciated, not only from us but also from Lola and our family. All of the donations made to this campain will go directly to Lola's treatment. We wouldn't put her through this if we didn't think it could add years to her life.

From, Kate and I, my family, and everyone else standing in her corner, we want to stay thank you for your support, donations, likes, comments, shares, and prayers. She really needs them all right now.

I'll be posting updates as much as possible so let's make sure we can Lola a fighting chance at beating this once and for all!
