Hi. We are fundraising for a young colleague of ours who is experiencing a very challenging family situation where our financial support can make a significant difference. There are a number of reasons for their identity to be protected so, having worked with them for a number of years, we are vouching for them and the support we are requesting being appropriate and valuable. The message below describes their situation. We would like to add that our friend is taking on a significant part of the responsibility and support for their mother and family such that we are determined to do our best to alleviate some of the burden that is concentrated in the next three - four months.

Hello everyone, I am a young person from India, and I am reaching out with a request for support. My Mother had been diagnosed with Myelodylplastic Syndrome a few months ago, which is a rare disease where blood stem cells in the bone marrow fail to mature into healthy blood cells. It is fatal without treatment, and the only possible curative treatment is a Bone Marrow Transplant. Since my Mother needed an allogeneic transplant, the costs were extremely high, and we still have not been able to cover the full amount, and would like to request for help with the same.
