On March 1st, 2025, our world was irrevocably changed with the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Derek, a loving father and boyfriend. For seven beautiful years, since 2018, Derek and Sara built a life filled with love and laughter, welcoming their precious children, Reid (born in 2019) and Lyndi (born in 2022). Derek's love extended to all his children, including his older son, Hunter (born in 2008), who was also a part of their lives and deeply cared for by both Derek and Sara.

Derek was the cornerstone of their family, a hardworking man whose every effort was dedicated to providing for Sara and their children. His love for them was immense and unwavering, evident in every bedtime story, every scraped knee bandaged, and every dream he held for their future.

Tragically, Derek’s sudden passing has left Sara and their children facing not only unimaginable grief but also a precarious living situation. The home they shared was owned by Derek’s father, and while Derek diligently paid the loan, securing a roof over their heads, the legalities have left Sara and the children with no claim to the property.
