We are raising money for a very special friend who is currently battling thyroid cancer—a journey that has been both

physically and emotionally demanding. This cause is deeply important to me and our work team as Nicky is someone we care about tremendously, she really is the heart of our team. She has always shown up for others with kindness, strength, and generosity, and now it’s our turn to show up for her.

Her cancer diagnosis has been extremely tough, attached to this there are significant financial pressures that come with her treatment, time away from work, travel to appointments, medications, and everyday living expenses. The funds raised will go directly toward easing these burdens so that Nicky can focus on what truly matters: healing, recovery, and staying strong through treatment.

Nicky had an operation to remove half of her thyroid just 3 weeks ago, only to find out on Wednesday 17th December that her cancer has spread and needs to go back to theatre to have the other half removed along with a lymph node.

Nicky is really feeling the financial pressure and with being to poorly to work and only receiving SSP things are extremely difficult, especially during this time of year.
