My wife Vicki is the best person I know. We’ve raised 4 kids together and beaten everything life has thrown at us till now. She started getting sick a few months ago and now we’re sitting at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Waiting on whether she meets the requirements for a liver transplant. We’ve both been off work on FMLA for a month now and our finances are running dry. We have insurance but it doesn’t even begin to cover the costs. Not to mention the non medical expenses. We’ve paid our own way our whole life but now I find myself sitting in the dark next to her bed, trying to be cheerful for her, and not knowing how I’m going to pay for the next tank of gas
