The Venice Justice Committee is a mobile opperation. The office is a van. It has been for some time. You know, the rent is just too damn high.

This van has been pretty amazing over the years, considering. Many repairs have gone into it over the years: transmission, front end, rear end, steering column (now that's a story) and much more.

At one point we started looking for a newer van, but the prices skyrocketed after COVID. The very hard decision now before us is that the motor needs to be replaced.

We got a full compression check and we can't just change spark plugs to get by anymore! We actually have been doing that and hoping it was just going to be the top end. But no. The whole engine.

The last time we tried the spark plup changing trick, it lasted about 20 miles. So that is definitely over.

We know people ask for help all the time. And this is a lot. But this is where we are at.

The mechanic who did the compression gave us a quote of over $6,000 but we are thinking we can get a lower quote in the inland empire. We are hoping for $4,600 total.
