Our Uncle Lew and Aunt Em Need Your Help

You all know Meredith and my story, you know how much our mom will always play a crucial role in our lives, and if you are reading this, you also know how important our connection is to our mom's younger brother, Uncle Lew. Throughout our lives, he was always there and always up for having fun. All of this and Uncle Lew and Aunt Emaline are our last living blood relation to our mom that we keep in regular contact with. I say all this to let you know what you already do, which is how special he is for us. This is why it is so painful to write to you all about the tough times that he and Emaline have fallen on and the guilt we feel for not being able to do more than we have to help him out. I would prefer not to go into too many details and I know he would not want me to have to spill all of his pains out to the world. He is a very prideful person and really does not want to have to ask for help. But the truth is, he really needs it right now. Emaline's health is not at all good, and Uncle Lew is no spring chicken. They had to move from their house in Greensboro and are in the (much longer than anticipated) process of moving into a small home in the mountains. They have been forced to spend the last 9 months in different motels, have had multiple emergency room trips because of Emaline's health, and have had a series of setbacks, one after the other. This move has cost them a lot more than was intended (as is so often the case) and they have no savings to help them deal with all of the unintended consequences. It has taken an additional toll on both of their physical and mental health and I know that if they have to go into deep debt again just to be able to have food and utilities, it could be a blow that they can't come back from. I am therefore asking you for anything you can donate to help them out. Believe me, they do not live frivolous lives, the money will go to helping them settle into their new home in the country and live out their lives with less stress than they have had to experience in the last few years. They truly deserve it and will be so eternally grateful for your support. As will we!
Thank You and Much Love,
Justin and Meredith
