As many of you know, Christina and I fell quickly and deeply in love. We’ve been moving at what feels like a million miles an hour, because when you know, you just know. We felt so incredibly blessed when we found out we were expecting, and even more so when we learned that God had given us the gift of twins.

From the beginning, this pregnancy was considered high risk. Even so, we’ve been so lucky to hit every milestone and witness our boys continuing to grow stronger week by week. But on Monday, August 11th, our world turned upside down. We were told that the time to meet our boys might come much sooner than we ever expected.

We spent that day at Enloe, waiting for news on where Christina and the babies could safely be transferred, since they would need a higher level of care than Enloe could provide at this stage. That evening, Christina and our boys were life-flighted to UC Davis, where we anxiously began our waiting journey—hoping and praying we could keep the boys safe inside for just a little longer. Christina gave everything she had to hold on, but on Thursday, doctors determined an emergency c-section was necessary.

On August 14th, our precious sons, Noah Carter and Luke Greyson, made their entrance into this world at 24 weeks old. They are here, perfect in every way, and already showing us what strong little fighters they are. Right now, they’re stable and in the best possible care—but their journey is just beginning. They have a long road ahead in the NICU before we can finally bring them home.

In the meantime, Christina and I are doing everything we can to stay close to our boys while they fight and grow. That means remaining in Sacramento for an extended period of time, away from home, away from normalcy, and focused entirely on being present for them.

We’re reaching out to our friends, family, and community with humble hearts. Many of you have already sent love, prayers, and encouragement, and we can’t thank you enough. If you feel led to help in another way, any contribution—big or small—will go directly toward helping us cover living/medical expenses and meals during this time so we can remain close to Noah and Luke.

Most of all, we ask for continued prayers for our boys: that their little bodies grow stronger every single day, that they remain safe in God’s hands, and that we bring them home as soon as possible.
